Watch “RABBIT STEW: MARCH 10th AT ROCKWOOD MUSIC HALL STAGE 2,” a little ad we put together. Share it with your Medical Doctor.

In February the band made a fast and wild trip to Los Angeles. See below for a brief photographic account of our trip!

For making our trip to CA possible, special thanks to (but not limited to) Jake Foust, Jaime Nyholt, Semi Precious Weapons, Javier Dunn, and last but not least: Jason DeCristofaro. He works with USGS and while we were camping in Joshua Tree National Park (see below), we found out via email that he’d predicted an earthquake! He deserves a promotion, don’t you think? We sat at The Jelly Donut in Yucca Valley, CA analyzing the seismic data and reminiscing about our night camped out near gnarled joshua trees, creeping cacti and giant granite formations… Some coyotes and cold air to clear away my Kings County cobwebs. (<- Say THAT one out loud.)

Arriving in L.A.

Picking Up The Rental Car

First West Coast Gig Poster!

Just Before Steve Wall Flew In: Rehearsal With Semi Precious Weapons’ Cole Whittle (L) & Dan Crean (R). That’s me protecting my melon with a helmet. Biking around West LA is pleasant and advisable from 3pm to ALWAYS.

A Trip To Amoeba Music: Saw Ben Kweller do an in-store show with our good friends Chris Morrissey, Rich Hinman, and Mark Stepro. They killed it. Ben is a swell guy, too.

Singing with Justin Tranter, the mega-talented lead singer of Semi Precious Weapons. He/They rule everything. Missing from these photos is Stevey Pyne, the Weapons’ amazing guitar player. All of those guys took really good care of us and are each wonderful people to know. Also, a special thanks to Jimmy Knehans, a mutual friend of ours whose support made the trip the best kind of freakout possible.

Soaking Up Santa Monica: The morning after Hotel Cafe with Steve Wall, near where SM becomes Venice.

Playing at Hotel Cafe with Steve Wall, Cole Whittle & Dan Crean.

Cole & Steve In An Abandoned Echo Park Building Full of Green Lasers and Whiskey. I’d love to have added a comma to that sentence, (“…Building, Full…”) telling you that the boys themselves were full of both Green Lasers AND Whiskey. However I’m afraid we’re just not that cool. For humans full of lasers, please visit our good friends at ChappoMusic.com.

‘Between Two Humans,’ Episode #2

Steve Wall, getting loose on our last night in L.A. … After posting a photograph as frightening as this one, Your Blog Entry Ends And Your New Life Begins.

See You On Saturday March 10th at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2, 10pm!
Jeff

p.s.- Here is a video of us playing the title track from ‘Frustration In Time Travel,’ our brand new LP (it’s done… release in the next month or two!)… The clip is from our last show at Rockwood Stage 2. Thanks to TheOliveNYC for posting the footage. Enjoy!
